Sunday Morning Hymn

that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; (Romans 10:9)

Let Jesus Come Into Your Heart

If you are tired of the load of your sin,
Let Jesus come into your heart;
If you desire a new life to begin,
Let Jesus come into your heart.
(Refrain)

If it’s for purity now that you sigh,
Let Jesus come into your heart;
Fountains for cleansing are flowing nearby,
Let Jesus come into your heart.
(Refrain)

If there’s a tempest your voice cannot still,
Let Jesus come into your heart;
If there’s a void this world never can fill,
Let Jesus come into your heart.
(Refrain)

If you would join the glad songs of the blest,
Let Jesus come into your heart;
If you would enter the masions of rest,
Let Jesus come into your heart.
(Refrain)

Refrain:
Just now, your doubtings give o’er;
Just now, reject Him no more;
Just now, throw open the door;
Let Jesus come into your heart.

Lelia Naylor Morris (April 15, 1862 – July 23, 1929) was an American Methodist hymnwriter. Some sources give her first name as Leila, but her obituary, grave marker, and other sources give her name as Lelia.She is sometimes known as Mrs. Charles H. Morris, as (Mrs.) C. H. Morris, or as ., having adopted her husband’s forenames upon marriage after the custom of the time.

Morris was born in Pennsville, Ohio. In 1881, she married Charles H. Morris. In the 1890s, she began to write hymns and gospel songs; it has been said that she wrote more than 1,000 songs and tunes, and that she did so while doing her housework. In 1913, her eyesight began to fail; her son thereupon constructed for her a blackboard 28 feet (8.5 m) long with oversized staff lines, so that she could continue to compose.
