I had such a good time bringing the Ephesians bible study to the blog. I must admit that while these last few months have been exhilarating, they have also been exhausting. One thing I learned from the experience is that writing a bible study as you go is not the best way, I don’t think I will ever do that again (although I have learned one should never say never). Once the study was completed I felt the need for time to retreat and regroup. I am thankful for the patience and prayers of our followers.
I’ve appreciated the time off but now it’s time to get back to “work”. Lord willing, I will once again be posting weekly devotions beginning next Thursday. It is a great joy to announce that “What It Means To Be A Christian” has been revised and is now available in print. I’m also excited to share that it is currently being used in a local small group bible study group.
Your support of this blog is so appreciated. I make no claims of being a good writer, it’s really not my intent to be a successful author (as the world defines success). My ambition, my calling, is to reveal the Word to one whose heart is longing. I am driven to share God’s word with my sisters in Christ and with those who will one day be my sisters in Christ. If the words that I write give direction, strength or encouragement; if they bring the hope, comfort and love of Christ to even one woman, it is enough.
The mission of this blog is based on the promise of Isaiah 55:11
“so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it”.
God said it. I believe it. It’s true.
